Thesis Title: Emotional Elaboration and Eyewitness Error: The Impact of Emotional Recall on Memory Accuracy

Elizabeth F. Loftus
William C. Thompson

About

I am a graduate student at UC-Irvine, pursuing my Ph.D. in social psychology, with a concentration in psychology and law, and a minor in statistics.

My research focuses on the use and abuse of scientific evidence and testimony in legal decisions. Currently, I am exploring error and bias (a la Pronin) in both eyewitnesses (Dr. Loftus) and experts (Dr. Thompson).

I seek to apply my knowledge of these topics to benefit both sides in legal situations. Good science helps plaintiffs build strong cases, and helps defendants rebuke wrongful accusations.
