Dr. Jennifer L. Skeem

About

Patrick J. Kennealy is a doctoral student in the Department of Psychology and Social Behavior at the University of California, Irvine. He received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities (2004), and his Masters degree in Social Ecology from University of California, Irvine (2008).  Broadly, his research interests include psychopathy, the conceptualization and measurement of personality disorders, the evaluation and design of violence risk assessment instruments, and psychology and law.  Kennealy’s recent research has examined the impact of psychopathic traits on violence risk for individuals with a dense history of antisocial and criminal behavior.  His dissertation will examine if psychopathy measures capture similar theoretical conceptualizations of the construct and if this varies as a function of population type (criminal versus community).
