About

Matt Huffman is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of California -- Irvine, and is Director of the graduate program in Demographic and Social Analysis (DASA). His current research investigates racial and gender differences in access to managerial jobs, and the consequences of changing managerial demographics for larger patterns of workplace inequality. He teaches courses in probability and statistics, research methods, and racial and gender inequality. With Philip Cohen, he is currently writing a book on gender, management, and workplace inequality.

He is currently an Associate Editor of the journal Social Problems and is on the editorial board of the American Sociological Review.
