About
After working in a variety of fields, from retail to real estate, it was in the financial sector that I developed an appreciation of history. I discovered that the nature of loan processing oddly parallels historical methodology, as I endeavored to construct an ideal borrower out of a series of verifiable facts and use logical analysis to fill any gaps. I completed my bachelor’s degree with a focus on the British empire in the modern period. As an Indian adoptee, I became interested in the relationship between Britain and its South Asian colony. My current research investigates transnational imperial networks, knowledge transmission, and the lives of Indian women who benefited from the imperial mission.
