About
I am a proud UC Presidents Postdoctoral Research Fellow, working with Prof. Raul Fernandez in the Department of Chicano/Latino Studies at UC-Irvine. I am currently working on revising my dissertation/book manuscript on the politics of childhood and education in early revolutionary Cuba and among the first wave exile community in Miami. I also dedicate time to Mexican migrant worker advocacy programs in San Diego county. I understand both my scholarly work and activism as part of a broader commitment to the exploration of global comparative Latina/o History and Studies and the relationships between race, ethnicity, immigration and education.
